Trig welcomes Seth Teeples

The Trig team continues to grow, thanks to the continued trust that our clients have placed in services centered on innovation management, design, and marketing.  We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our staff with the addition of industrial designer Seth Teeples.

Seth Teeples, Industrial Designer at Trig

Seth joins senior designer Patrick Murphy, along with designers Drew Brisley and Connie Tran, on our core industrial design team.  Like Connie, Seth brings corporate product development experience to the team after spending the last three years at the Research Triangle Park location of Japanese giant Toshiba.

While at Toshiba, Seth built a fundamental skill set in industrial design, collaborating with a development team to take concepts from early-stage sketches to renderings, 3D CAD models, and even physical models. He acted as the primary designer responsible for translating design into SolidWorks, routinely collaborating with engineering teams for concept development. Additionally, he rendered designs into Keyshot for client and marketing presentations.

Impressively, Seth’s work at Toshiba yielded more than a dozen released Toshiba products and multiple patents.

Prior to Toshiba, Seth performed contract consulting for multiple manufacturers to develop a diverse array of products in multiple industries, including aerospace, LED lighting, and education technology.

Seth earned his undergraduate degree in industrial design in 2013 at Appalachian State University, where he also served as president and vice president of the ASU chapter of the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA). His corporate-sponsored student work included the concept development of exercise machines, water conservation shower heads, retail touchscreens and mounting systems, as well as point of sale packaging designs for tools.

“We’re thrilled to have Seth Teeples join our great team here at Trig,” said Ty Hagler, the company’s principal and founder. “Trig seeks to be the employer of choice for designers that understand the development needs of corporate product development teams and startup entrepreneurs and executives. The fact that Seth has joined this team says we are accomplishing our mission of attracting proven talent. His record of achievement at Toshiba and other North Carolina companies speaks for itself, and we look forward to helping him grow and seeing our clients benefit from his contributions to our work.”
