Privacy

We take your privacy seriously here at Trig, so we’ve given you a whole bunch of ways to lock things down. You can access this section through the Privacy tab in Settings

Profile Visibility

Some people are an open book, while others prefer to stick to their closest friends. Here’s where you can choose who gets to view your profile.

↑ Top

Messages

If you only want messages from people on your friends list, then here’s where you can set that preference.

↑ Top

Comments

Not everyone has it together when leaving comments, and you might want to check them all out before they’re shown on your profile, so you can hook that up here and set them as requiring approval first.

↑ Top

Spam filter

We’ve got your back here, so don’t worry about seeing millions of iPhone or viagra ads in your comments, like on a certain other site.

↑ Top

Unapproved comments

Privacy Unaproved

When we’ve blocked all of those nasty spam comments, you can decide here whether you want them automatically blocked, or you can choose to manually approve them.

Chat

Maybe you’re not the chatting kind, or you only want to chat with people from your friends list? Flick the switch here.

Friends

One of the top three most annoying things that we get told about is getting friend requests from people or bands who just send a friend request without even leaving you a comment, or a message. So we added a new setting in the Privacy tab, where you can set your profile so that a user has to contact you (send message or comment) before he/she can send a friend request. Also available in 'anyone can add me!', 'only if they know my email address!', and 'oooh, no friend requests for me!' flavors.

Online status

Maybe your boss is checking your Trig status from the next room? Set your online status to Offline here!

Hide friend tags

Do your friends all call you stupid names that are funny when you're together but embarrassing to people who aren't in the know? Maybe that's how they've tagged you and you don't want to be showing that kinda stuff off? You can disable other peoples' ability to see how you've been tagged here. Phew.

Stealth Mode

Often referred to as “stalker mode”, Stealth Mode lets you run silently, without leaving a trace on those recent visitors lists.

No Media Player Autoplay

Privacy Nomediaautopla

Not everyone likes autoplay, so if you're like “JUST TURN IT OFF UNTIL I SAY GO!” then this should keep you happy.
