Trashlight Vision
Punk rock will never die and New York City's Trashlight Vision well and truly prove the point like no other! Combining the dirt, attitude and workhorse ethic that is the essence of true hardcore rock 'n' roll, Trashlight Vision have injected a much needed dose of originality into the rock world and the outcome just has to be heard (and seen) to be believed!
Formed in 04 by Acey Slade (who also plays guitar with the infamous Murderdolls), rather than waiting for the dollar sign of corporate music industry to come to them, Trashlight Vision opted for the spirit of independence to build the band into the beast it is now become. To give full focus to his new project, Acey moved back to Philadelphia to join up with his old friend Roger 'Rags' Segal. The the line up is now rounded out by Steve Haley on guitar and Jonny Chops on drums. All the members share the same mentality of ‘nothing is more dangerous than a man with nothing to loose.’
The original band moved into their rehearsal spot fondly known as the ‘Trashcan’. They quit their jobs, and took their possessions to the Pawn Shop to live off Ramen Noodles, Old Crow and Coffee. Often accepting donations by the girls that would frequent the Trashcan. Here, the band silk screened their own T-shirts and Patches and rehearsed 7 days a week. They released 2 independent EP’s that quickly sold out. The outcome is their debut album 'Alibis & Ammunition' – which features 12 tracks of fucked up, turbo charged rock 'n' roll. Capturing the spirit of the Ramones, the grime of Lars Frederiksen And The Bastards, and the danger of Guns N' Roses, Trashlight Vision aren't copyists, but creating their own spin on rock 'n' roll for 06 and beyond! 'Alibis & Ammunition' features the foot kicking, stomp along anthems like 'Screw Worm Baby' and 'Horns And Halos', the slick 'Black Apples', the dark punchy 'Faceplant Pavement' and the sing-along 'Allergic To You'. Throwing in a blinding rendition of Ramones classic 'My Brain Is Hanging Upside Down (Bonzo Goes To Bitburg)', 'Alibis..' is packed to the hilt with edgy songs that embed themselves in your brain long after they’ve spun in your stereo.
Rather than living on past glories, Trashlight Vision has already completed three UK tours with no label support. Screen-printing their own merch, flyering their own shows, Trashlight Vision are embracing the DIY approach and taking the music to the streets. And to the world. Since the release of the album, Trashlight Vision have played on 3 continents (Asia, Europe and Norht America), 16 countrys, endless states sharing the stage with everyone from Backyard Babies to 45 Grave.
