前言

PREMISE

由4位英国年青华人组成的摇滚乐队, 在他们晋身成为祖国的明星之前, 他们在英国经历多时, 为的是在英国的华人观众(单以现居伦敦中国留学生就有二万)面前证明自己的实力。

A TV lifestyle documentary (Four episodes, each 30 minutes) in which we see how four young Chinese musicians living in the UK form a rock band. They go through an eventful time, in which they want to get a record deal and prove themselves to the huge Chinese audience living in the UK (20,000 Chinese Students live in London alone), before they set sails to become stars in their home country.

THE SETTING

伦敦是世界现代音乐最重要的重镇之一。同时也是新乐队最难掘起的其中一个基地。成功的音乐人本身就证明了这里的环境是何等优秀。这4位音乐英雄正在为自己的摇滚乐队迎战音乐生命的起跌。4伙子同住的居所正是他们闭门修炼的地方, 制作音乐、谈理想、诉展望。

London is one of the world's most important places for modern music. But it's also one of the toughest grounds for a new band. This is the best environment for enthusiastic musicians to show what they are made of. Our four heroes are going through the highs and lows of a rock bands life. The house in which they live together is their retreat. Here they can work on their music and can talk about their dreams and hopes.

THE SHOW

系列片从4伙子搬往一起住开始, 从适应生活到共同工作。日子时而狂热刺激, 时而大吵大闹, 但他们迈向摇滚极乐的目标充斥了这个节目。他们的音乐就是他们的生命。在音乐专业领域上, 曾为Simon Cowell的唱片监制和写词的Jos Jorgensen 会为这4伙子的乐队提供指导。在Jorgensen 的指导下他们的音色潜质必然显露无遗。在视觉上更有专业团队为这4伙子设计现代潮爆的形象。

The series begins with the three guys moving together into the house. We see how they have to cope with living, but also with working together. Sometimes their days are crazy and exciting; sometimes they have huge arguments. But their aim to reach the Rock'n'Roll nirvana dominates the show. Their music is their live. On a musical level Jos Jorgensen, ((take out ))who has written and produced several number one albums and worked for Simon Cowell,)) will guide the band. With his help there is assurance that the acoustic outcome has hit potential. As for the visual side there is a professional team giving the four youngsters a modern and funky look.

 

我们的摄制队跟随每个成员, 拍摄乐队背后的生活。当其他人都在中国餐馆打拚时, 其中一个男生早就是经历多个面试和以音乐室乐师身份演奏现场音乐的专业音乐人。4伙子各自都有独特的性格。这4伙子在进出音乐室之间所建立的关系, 正如观众所能发掘的一样乐在其中。再掘深一层, 乐队的结他手是在英国出生的, 这个背景给他不同角度去看事物。随着这队乐队的旅程, 他们的会自己讲述个人经历。

Our camera teams follow also each character in their live outside the band. One guy is already a quite established musician who goes to auditions and plays live as a studio musician, while others have to go to work to make ends meet. Each of our four characters has a distinct personality. The developing relationships between the characters will generate as much interest to the viewer as their adventures inside and outside the house. Further depth is added by the fact that the bands guitarist grew up in the UK, which gives him a different view on many things. Along their journey the band members will speak of their personal experiences.

 

节目另一个特色是伦敦 - 城市就是对手, 给年青音乐人灵感, 也同时在他们的音乐旅途上抛掷阻碍物。没有别的地方会给这么多机会给乐队, 但亦没有一处地方比这里的竞争更艰钜。从这个充满戏剧性的城市呈现的成果, 就足已证明背后所付出的努力。

Another character in the show is London: The city is the antagonist, giving our young musicians inspiration, but also throwing obstacles in the way. Nowhere else are so many chances for a new band. But nowhere else is the competition so tough. This city dramatically illustrates how you have to work hard to make it to the top.

Through this website viewers will be able to keep up to date in greater depth and get a deeper insight to the bands progress. Discussion boards and first music samples keep the public’s interest constantly buzzing. It is also the website through which we get peoples help to give the band a name and which viewers can help the band members with difficult decisions.
