SIGHT-SETS-FIRE

Sight Sets Fire are a 5 piece Metal/Hardcore band from Narellan, south-west Sydney, that originally formed in August of 2007 under the name "Beneath The Bleeding" and then “Desperate Depravity”. After jamming for weeks on end and writing lots of material, the 4 band members were on a search for a lead vocalist in what seemed almost like an eternity. Light was finally seen at the end of a tunnel when the last member, Cam, was found. After a weary start with the members and direction of the band, Desperate Depravity was finally complete in February 2008. During the months that followed, certain events lead to the departure of the original drummer (along with the band name) and the recruitment of Wilbur in late April 2008. This saw a change in music and ideas, and quickly saw the change of their band name to SIGHT SETS FIRE.

Their unique sounds can be described as progressive with flaring waves of emotive adrenaline. Chunky riffs, metal solos mixed with harmonizing guitars filled with complexities are what the fans crave. It’s loud, it’s fast, it’s slow. It’s melodic and harmonic. It’s a bottle filled with so much emotions that all they’ll do is burst, and hope you feel what they have felt.
